The Rare Malts are a now-discontinued series of cask-strength releases designed by Diageo to showcase some of the hidden treasures in their portfolio. A limited release from the much-missed Brora, this was distilled in 1982, shortly before the distillery closed its doors for the last time. The Brora 20 Years comes from one of Scotlands earliest purpose-built malt distilleries, founded in 1819 by the future Duke of Scotland. It closed in 1983. A golden, 20 yeras old Northern Highland singel mlat whisky, its fresh, sea-air aromed, oil-smotth body and polished, malty and sweet character reveal a mighty coastal malt, with a long, peppery, finally mustard-dry finish.
